Images from Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico, July 2017

Tulum is the site of a later walled city built by the Mayans in Central America. Its existence dates back to the 13th to 15th centuries just before the Mayans fled the invading Spanish. It is thought to have been home to around 1,500 inhabitants at its peak population. (Today, it seems to have been conquered by iguanas!)

Goldfield Ghost Town

Another photo set from the Apache Trail. Goldfield began in 1892 after gold was discovered in the vicinity. It has since been purchased and restored, and is now a tourist attraction.
